I see NYC's Billionaire Mayor Bloomberg, who switched parties from Democratic to Republican just six years ago, has bolted from the Republicans and re-registered as "unaffiliated," which is apparently somewhere between the two parties - as if it mattered.
For some time now, we have lived under one party rule here in the US. The Democratic and Republican Parties are merely the left and right wings of the same party, the one ruling party, the Fascist Corporate Plutocratic Party.
You can bet Bloomberg is still a member in good standing of that one.

He only switched to Republican so he could run for Mayor at all. Recently he came out loudly and clearly against all the fear mongerers, telling them to "get a life" and that they were "more likely to be struck by lightning than by terrorists". So he ain't all bad, that's for sure.
